Did you know…..
…..many Indiana communities now offer e.Scrap collection events or programs?
Across Indiana, more and more communities are beginning to offer e.Scrap collection events or programs to help area residents collect, reuse and recycle their electronic devices in an efficient, cost-effective and environmentally sound manner. Some communities charge for these services to cover the cost of proper e.Scrap recycling; while other communities may pay for e.Scrap services through tax revenues. Either way, it’s important to understand that e.Scrap recycling costs money and is never truly free.
Some communities hold one- or two-day collection events in conjunction with the collection of other problem materials, such as household hazardous waste, scrap tires, appliances, or other items. In a few cases, some cities and towns collect electronics on a permanent basis. Unfortunately, not every community in Indiana is able to offer an e.Scrap recycling program today. Information on which communities offer e.Scrap collection to their residents is available here:

If you do not have an e.Scrap program available in your community, you can contact one of the many e.Scrap reuse organizations or recyclers to find out how to properly recycle your computer, cell phone, television or other electronic device.
